Assuming PV panels can operate effectively for 6 hours a day, we choose a pump with the rated flow of 17m³/h.
According to the Manning formula, we can calculate the pressure loss of this flow rate in a 5000m water pipe as shown in the figure below.
We think that the DN110 water pipe is the most suitable, so the head of the pump should be at least 80+25=105m.
After checking the datasheet of the pumps, we choose 6SP17-15 with the rated power of 9.2kW, rated flow of 17m³/h, rated head of 124m.
